With his remix mixtapes, Diplo found and generated a sound where his favorite genres– ’80s pop, electronica, Dirty South hip-hop, and major influence, Miami bass music – would beautifully cross paths. Some time after, his Mad Decent (a label founded by him) impression presented the much wanted edge of pop, hip-hop, and dance music while his visionary Major Lazer project combined dancehall with rave culture and crossed the Earth as a live-party sound machine. By the late 2010s, projects with distinguished artists such as Skrillex (Jack Ü) and Mark Ronson (Silk City) both warranted Grammy wins for collabs with Justin Bieber and Dua Lipa. He also joined forces with Labrinth and Sia to form the powerhouse LSD. Heading over to the 2020s, Diplo pivoted into territories journeying from country to ambient, but focusing on house music through his Higher Ground album and his 2022 self-titled album.
Diplo is a DJ and producer from Florida who has found success in the electronic dance music scene. Diplo has released over 25 singles, 7 studio albums and 2 compilation albums all while maintaining a prolific touring schedule, which includes headlining festivals such as EDC Las Vegas, Ultra and Electric Forest Music Festival. He’s also performed internationally including at music festivals like Electric Daisy Carnival Miami and Tomorrowland.
