Ezra Furman at Underground Arts on March 25th

Art pop singer Ezra Furman will be coming to Philadelphia on Saturday, March 25th at Underground Arts.

Furman’s music covers themes of identity, religion, political angst, anxiety, and love. Many of her songs can be heard on the soundtrack for the Netflix series Sex Education, in which Furman and their band made a cameo as the band playing at the school dance. She has also written a book on Lou Reed’s album Transformer.

Originally performing as the lead singer and guitarist of Ezra Furman and the Harpoons until 2011, Furman self-released the solo album, The Year of No Returning in 2012 and signed to Bar/None Records the year after. Since then, she’s released five more solo albums-her latest one being All of Us Flames.
