For the first time ever Fleet Foxes and My Morning Jacket are teaming up for a series of co-headlining summer shows. The short summer tour consists of three performances in California including a show on Sunday, Aug. 20 at Los Angeles’ Hollywood Bowl.
Two of the most acclaimed groups of their generation are teaming up to perform three summer shows visiting Berkley’s The Greek Theatre and LA’s Hollywood Bowl this August. Both bands are looking forward to the collaborative concert series. Fleet Foxes’ Robin Pecknold even referred to it as “a longtime dream come true.” The Hollywood Bowl show takes part in the summer nights KCRW Festival.
American indie folk band Fleet Foxes formed in 2006. The band released four critically acclaimed studio albums earning two Grammy nominations for Best Folk Album in 2012 for Helplessness Blues and Best Alternative Music Album in 2022 for Shore. Fleet Foxes consists of Robin Pecknold, Skyler Skjelset, Casey Wescott, Christian Wargo and Morgan Henderson. In 2022, the band released Wading in Waist-High Water: The Lyrics of Fleet Foxes, a book containing the complete lyrics from 55 songs.
Kentucky rock band My Morning Jacket formed in 1998 releasing nine studio albums with the latest being their 2021 self-titled record My Morning Jacket. The band earned three Grammy nominations for Best Alternative Album with 2008 Evil Urges, 2011 Circuital and 2015 The Waterfall. The band is best known for their energetic live performances and unique sound.
