Yellowcard returns to Los Angeles with a special headlining show in honor of their fourth studio album Ocean Avenue. Special guests Mayday Parade, Anberlin, This Wild Life and more are set to join Yellowcard on Sunday, July 30 at the YouTube Theater.
For the first time in several years, Yellowcard returns to Los Angeles, California. The Yellowcard: Celebrating 20 Years of Ocean Avenue tour will be the first in six years since the band’s break up in 2017. The band announced the tour via social media showing their gratitude towards fans and being able to return to the road with friends. The 23-date tour includes two stops in SoCal being in LA and San Diego. The LA event includes the opportunity for fans to purchase a VIP Soundcheck Package which includes a premium reserved ticket within the first 15 rows, a GA ticket, a group photo op with Yellowcard, an acoustic pre-show featuring never before performed songs, a Q&A and more.
Yellowcard is referred to as an elder emo band, meaning they are one of the pioneers of the genre. The band formed in 1997 and quickly became recognized for their distinct sound in the emo genre, mainly because of they incorporated a violin in pop rock and made it work incredibly well. The band released 10 studio album and broke up following their 2016 self-titled record. Their most popular songs include “Ocean Avenue,” “Only One” and “Way Away.”
The now LA-based band reunited in 2022 with a special performance at Riot Fest. The band is set to perform at the U.K. Slam Dunk Festival late May 2023. This upcoming summer the band is set to embark on their first full United States tour in honor of their fourth studio album. Following the tour, Yellowcard is to make an appearance at the second annual When We Were Young festival in Las Vegas, Nevada.
