Soulfly is coming to New York on February 18th at the Music Hall of Williamsburg.
Soulfly is an American heavy metal band that was formed in 1997 by Max Cavalera, former lead singer, and guitarist of the metal band Sepultura. The band is known for its unique blend of heavy metal, thrash metal, and groove metal with influences from tribal music and world music. Soulfly’s lyrics often address political and social issues, as well as spiritual themes, inspired by Cavalera’s experiences growing up in Brazil. Soulfly has released over ten studio albums to date, with their first album, Soulfly, being released in 1998 and their most recent album, Totem, being released in 2022. The band has undergone several line-up changes over the years, with Cavalera being the only constant member. Soulfly has been well-received by fans and critics alike and has been recognized for its energetic live performances and diverse musical style.
