Vance Joy at The Met Philadelphia on February 7th

Ukulele folk pop singer Vance Joy will be playing at The Met Philadelphia on Tuesday, February 7th. After the release of his third album In Our Own Sweet Time, Joy will be starting his 2023 North America In Our Own Sweet Time Tour in Philadelphia with special guest Jack Botts.

The Australian singer James Keough, under the moniker Vance Joy, began his career playing local gigs around Melbourne, Australia in 2013. Joy gained popularity with the release of the triple platinum single “Riptide” which is featured on his debut EP, God Loves You When You’re Dancing. After releasing his first studio album, Dream Your Life Away, Joy won the ARIA Music Award for Best Male Artist and later opened for Taylor Swift’s The 1989 World Tour. With his 2017 album Nation of Two, the album won The ARIA Music Award for Best Adult Contemporary Album. A year later, Joy opened for Pink’s Beautiful Trauma World Tour. In 2022, Vance released In Our Own Sweet Time, collaborating with artists Benny Blanco and Marshmello on the single, “You” and getting his song “Missing Piece” featured on Grey’s Anatomy. Two songs from the album have won an ARIA Music Award for Best Video including “Every Side Of You” and “Missing Piece”.
