Seven-piece soul-pop, rhythm and blues band The Dip will be playing at Union Transfer on Friday, February 24th for their Stuck On You National Tour. The band will be performing with Kaleta & The Super Yamba Band. The Dip combines a pop sound with 3-part horn section.
Meeting at the University of Washington in 2013, the group of jazz music students began playing at house parties as an opportunity to play more mainstream music. They’ve since released three albums The Dip, The Dip Delivers and Sticking With It along with 2 EP instrumental albums after the band signed with Dualtone Records in 2021. The group has played at several music festivals and went on a 2019 tour of Europe with Durand Jones & The Indications.
