Tonight the annual Grammy Awards return to Los Angeles after being hosted in Las Vegas, Nevada last year due to concerns over the rise of Covid-19 cases. Randy Rainbow is hosting the premiere ceremony. A noteworthy sentiment expressed throughout the pre-show was that music is boundless expanding into different sectors of entertainment from TV and film to video games and visual art more generally. 6:07pm – SZA presents the Grammy award for best Musica Urbana Album. Bad Bunny takes home the award for Un Verano Sin Ti.
6:18pm: Kid Harpoon introduces Harry Styles who performs “As It Was” on a revolving red stage, reminiscent of the music video set. Shania Twain supports him from the audience, lip-syncing the song.
6:28pm – Cardi B presents the Grammy for Best Rap Album. Kendrick Lamar wins for Mr. Morale and the Big Steppers.
