Ripe At El Rey Theatre On April 28th

Ripe is heading back on the road with their biggest tour yet, the Bright Blues 2023 Tour. The 25-date tour includes a stop in Los Angeles, California for the first time in four years, this time at El Rey Theatre on Friday, April 28.

In honor of their upcoming album, Bright Blues, Ripe has announced a full national headlining tour. Bright Blues is set to release on March 10 and is said to be a 12-track record jam-packed with sleek grooves and bold melodies. The band’s sophomore album is the first release since signing with Glassnote Records and has also been described as an anthem that helps ride out the tough times. Their latest single “Settling” hit top 15 at AAA and top 25 at ALT radio. The tour will be followed by special appearances at the Peach Music Festival and FloydFest.

The alternative-pop band recorded Bright Blues with a new approach, showcasing their abilities as writers and performers. Ripe incorporated their free spirit into the record with improvisations creating an exciting sound representing the band’s live energy. That high-energy has landed the band performances at festivals like Bonnaroo, Firefly and Bottlerock.

Ripe is composed of vocalist Robbie Wulfson, guitarist Jon Becker, drummer Sampson Hellerman, and trombonist Calvin Barthel. The group was formed when all members were studying at Berklee College of Music. From performing at local venues to headlining their biggest national tour in 2023 with shows at prestigious venues such as MGM Music Hall at Benway in Boston and Terminal 5 in Ney York City, the band has come a long way and continues to thrive as they have also gained recognition from various publications.
