Everything But The Girl Announces First Album in 24 Years Fuse for April 2023 Release and Share New Song “Nothing Left to Lose”

Today pitchfork.com has reported that downtempo pop and trip-hop duo Everything But The Girl have announced they will be releasing their first new album in 24 years called Fuse which it will be released on April 21. Following the news of a new album, Everything But The Girl have shared the single, “Nothing Left to Lose,” that is a music video directed by Charlie Di Placido.

The upcoming album is a follow up to the duo’s  1999 record Temperamental. Ben Watt and Tracey Thorn began writing Fuse in March 2021 and quietly recorded the music both at home and in a small studio outside Bath, England, with engineer Bruno Ellingham.

Both the song and music video for “Nothing Left To Lose”  is a fun piece by how the duo used their creativity to express themselves through electronic dance music. Each musical vibe brings a catchy beat that can cause listeners to dance while the music blares from the speakers and Thorn’s voice lightly fills the atmosphere with bittersweet sound. As for the music video, audiences will have a better understanding what the song is about because the dancing resembles how we should embrace who we as humans.
