Colorful Americana homestyle band makes their merry merry way to dark and gloomy San Francisco Bay
Railroad Earth is a band that is hard for me to describe in a few words. Good. I have around three hundred and fifty words I can use to help you. Hearing these guys for the first time, I picked up Indie Rock, Folky type music, Bluegrass vibes, hippie sounds. I don’t know. Whatever you label it, you might be right. More right than me atleast. Judging by the makeup of the band, most of the members are very hairy and happy looking. So the music therefore is very telling. Well that should be a good thing considering there should be absolutely no moshing whatsoever. Doesn’t that sound like fun? Going to a more relaxing concert like if it was U2 or something more relevant to this group’s sound like Fleetwood Mac? Well ya if you do like Fleetwood then you will like these guys. I think. Anyway, so are you going or not? This concert is for hairy happy hippies. That is you isn’t it? No? Well it is now because I said so! If you like campfire songs and being all kumbaya then this band isn’t just for you but it is you! An artist by the name of Holly Bowling will open for Railroad Earth. Doors open at 7pm and the show starts at 8pm. It is on a friday. Good luck getting off work if you work nights. Always drink water. General admission is your only option so no acting all high and mighty via premium and exclusive seating. Before you go, if you want to get to know the group’s sound and style a little more then I suggest their 2004 release, The Good Life. I chose this one because it seems to be the most popular album from these guys up on Spotify right now. Long Way To Go is a song from that album which for some reason has been scaling in popularity recently on Spotify.
