Duster is an American rock band from San Jose, California. Formed in 1996, the band right now consists of Clay Parton, and Canaan Dove Amber. Duster’s music is characterized by its ethereal and atmospheric sound, influenced by shoegaze and space rock. The band released its debut album, Stratosphere, in 1998, followed by Contemporary Movement, in 2000. Duster took a hiatus in 2000, but re-formed in 2018 and released a third album, Capsule Losing Contact, in 2019. Duster’s music has been described as contemplative and introspective, with lyrics that often explore themes of isolation and loss. The band has gained a dedicated cult following over the years and continues to tour and perform.
