Nervo at E11even Jan. 20th

Coming from Melbourne, twin sisters Miriam and Olivia Nervo started work as models as teenagers, but stopped to focus on songwriting and production. Their first credited works of note came in 2005 through a single called “Negotiate with Love,” with Rachel Stevens. It peaked at number ten in the U.K. Some time after, they co-wrote with popular French and American artists David Guetta and Kelly Rowland’s “When Love Takes Over,” which topped Billboard’s U.S. club chart, as well as the main pop charts in many European and Scandinavian countries. The smashing hit was nominated for a 2009 Grammy in the category of Best Dance Recording. As they continued to create well-liked abs marketable collaborations, the sisters began dropping singles under their now recognizable name, Nervo. 2012’s “Like Home,” featuring Dutch DJ Nicky Romero, peaked at number 33 on the U.K. pop chart, while 2013’s “Hold On” topped the U.S. dance chart. “Haute Mess” made it all the way to number five in 2014.

In 2015, they released their debut album, Collateral. They have remained favored in the club with tracks like “People Grinnin” (2016), “Best Friend” (2017) with Sofie Tucker and “Gotta Be with You” (2021) featuring Carla Monroe.

Melanie Stewart: Hi! My name is Melanie and I am a music business/management student at Berklee College of Music. As a young child, I began vocal training and continued up until my second year of college. My experience in music has lead me to many opportunities including performing at local clubs/cafes, joining a band, and writing my own music amongst other things. Outside of music, I have a passion for business and design. I have been able to create my own business as well as co-design a website for a peer project to be used for their company. I hope to perfect my skill and further my education.
