For nearly 40 years now, Metallica has dominated the hard rock scene. While the band is now considered classic rock, Metallica constantly proves that classics are classics for reason. According to sources at Blabbermouth , a professional live video of the band playing an acoustic cover of UFO’s “It’s Killing Me” was recently shared on youtube. In the two days since the video was posted on youtube, it has already reached over 212k views.

The song was incredibly well performed, although that is hardly surprising given the talent of the band performing it. While softer than the normal music expected from Metallica, it is no less captivating than their other songs – despite only being a cover in itself. In going acoustic for the song, the band finds an emotional way to connect with the audience. It provides a far more earthy way for listeners to resonate with the song – an added layer of depth. The professional video of the band playing live is simple and straightforward. The band seems just as lost in their instruments as one can only imagine the audience is.

Metallica will be on tour in the coming months following the release of their latest single released late last year. Metallica should be releasing their 12th studio album, from which the single is derived, in the near future.
