The Lucid Releases Solid New Song “Mumps” From Upcoming EP

Hard rock supergroup The Lucid – made up of former Megadeth bassist David Ellefson, Sponge vocalist Vinnie Dombroski, Raven and Fear Factory drummer Mike Heller, and guitarist Drew Fortier- recently released new song “Mumps” from their upcoming EP ‘Saddle Up And Ride’. ‘Saddle Up And Ride’ will feature artist Violent J, best known as one-half of the rap duo Insane Clown Posse. The second single from this EP is scheduled to be released by the band on January 27, 2023.  According to sources at Blabbermouth, artwork for the upcoming EP ‘Saddle Up And Ride’ will feature artist Alex Sarabia.

“Saddle Up And Ride” will contain a mixture of eclectic elements. The Lucid intends to utilize sounds from thrash, country, funk, and rap. Whether this strange brew of music will pay off will be decided later in 2023 when more of the EP will be released. At the moment, fans can only appreciate the single “Mumps” as a teaser for the rest of the EP.
