Magic City Hippies at Theatre of Living Arts on January 21st

Indie funk trio Magic City Hippies will be celebrating their new album on their Water Your Garden Tour at the Theatre of Living Arts on Saturday, January 21st. The band will share the stage with special guest CAPYAC.

Originating in Miami, Florida, the three began as Robby Hunter Band with Robby Hunter, Pat Howard and John Coughlin. After releasing the Magic City Hippies album, the group renamed themselves as the album title. They gained a following after being featured on CW’z iZombie and Showtime’s Ray Donovan. They have toured and played at major music festivals including Bonnaroo, Lollapalooza, Austin City Limits and Firefly.

Inspired by the Unknown Mortal Orchestra, Tame Impala and The Red Hot Chili Peppers, the group recorded Modern Animal about touring and relationships. Their newly released album Water Your Garden focuses on self-care and relationships while blending psychedelia, funk and hip-hop.
