29/12/22, 30/12/22 and 31/12/22 = Chicago, IL – Riviera Theatre
Disco Biscuits is here to hype up the new year with their three day residency at the Riviera Theatre. The Philadelphia band consists of Allen Aucoin, Marc “Brownie” Brownstein, Jon “The Barber” Gutwillig, and Aron Magner. Since 1996, The Disco Biscuits have made 10 albums. This year, they’ve released singles “Evolve”, “M1” and “Lake Shore Drive” as well as the album “Another Plan of Attack”. Their sound primarily is trance fusion, a genre whose roots are in electronic rock but also incorporates other genres such as funk, jazz, reggae and house music. (Wiki)
The live shows showcase how much of a jam band The Disco Biscuits are. While incorporating their recorded songs, the band also adds a lot of improvisation to their shows. With the mix of their electronic trance fusion sound and improvisation, their shows are a playground for people to dance at. (Revolution)
The Disco Biscuits use their platform to fundraise. In 2011, they hosted food drives in Colorado (News). In 2020, The Disco Biscuits raised $75,000 in their Take Me Out to the Ball Game fundraiser. They raised money for organizations such as Plus1 Black Lives Fund to help combat racism in the country (AllAccess).
