Hardcore punk group Show Me The Body will be kicking off their 2023 World War Tour at Union Transfer on Thursday, February 9th in support of their LP Trouble the Water. The band will be performing with special guests Jesus Piece, Scowl, Zulu, and TRiPPJONES.
Show Me The Body consists of Julian Cashwan Pratt (vocals, banjo), Harlan Steed (bass, sampler) and Jackie McDermott (drums). After meeting in high school, Pratt and Steed started playing their first shows under bridge overpasses, alleys and in basements.
Their 2016 debut album Body War expands on themes like anti-capitalism, gentrification and police brutality. After their second album Dog Whistle, they released an EP Survive which touched on isolation during the pandemic. In October of 2022 they released their new album Trouble the Water and brought on current drummer Jackie McDermott.
