Big Thief at Franklin Music Hall on February 4th

Indie folk rock band Big Thief will be performing at Franklin Music Hall on Saturday, February 4th. Their rich emotional songs revolve around pain, loss and love accompanied by intense energetic performances on stage.

The Brooklyn, New York based band comprises Adrianne Lenker (guitar, vocals), Buck Meek (guitar, backing vocals), Max Oleartchik (bass) and James Krivchenia (drums). As undergraduates, Lenker and Meek began touring in 2013 and developed a grassroots following. When they found additional members to accompany them, they formed Big Thief. All members attended Berklee College of Music in Boston Massachusetts.

Their studio album U.F.O.F and song “Not” were nominated in multiple categories for a Grammy Award. U.F.O.F won a Libera Award for Album of the Year. The release of their newest album Dragon New Warmth Mountain I Believe in You recently has been nominated for “Best Alternative Music Album” with its song “Certainty” nominated for “Best Alternative Music Performance”.
