DJ, producer, and musician Steve Aoki will be DJing at NOTO Philadelphia on Wednesday December 28th for NYE Week. The artist is known for his collaborations across genres with some of the most popular names in the music scene like Lil Uzi Vert, Maluma, BTS, Linkin Park and Louis Tomlinson.
Before DJing, Aoki worked at his father’s Benihana restaurant chain as kitchen help, as a telemarketer, and managed a fast food restaurant. While growing up in California, he produced DIY records and ran underground concerts out of his apartment. In his early 20s, he founded the successful record label Dim Mak which has launched acts like The Chainsmokers, Bloc Party, The Bloody Beetroots, and The Kills as well as early releases from ZEDD and Diplo. Aoki is also a fashion designer, author and entrepreneur.
Aoki has big plans for next year, being scheduled to participate in the first civilian space mission to the Moon in 2023 in part of the DearMoon project to board the SpaceX Starship.
