Kelela just announced a tour, with six dates in North America. One of the dates is in New York at Webster Hall on March 17th, 2023.
The tour is in support of her upcoming album release, RAVEN, with this being the first album she’s put out since 2017. The album currently has three singles out, “Washed Away,” “Happy Ending,” and “On The Run.” The album comes out officially on February 10th, 2023. Kelela, when speaking of the album in press release said: “I started this process from the feeling of isolation and alienation I’ve always had as a black femme in dance music, despite its Black origins. RAVEN is my first breath taken in the dark, an affirmation of Black femme perspective in the midst of systemic erasure and the sound of our vulnerability turned to power.”
Face value tickets to the show sold out immediately, but resale tickets are still left for around $200 for the cheapest GA ticket on TickPick.com, and demand tickets are still available on AXS.com for $157.10. Get them before the prices go up! Kelela also recently posted that she’s looking to add more dates, so keep an eye on her social media.
