FOALS at The Franklin Music Hall on December 14th

New wave rock band Foals will be at The Franklin Music Hall on Wednesday, December to perform tracks from their new album Life is Yours. The performance features special guests Inner Wave and Glove.

English indie rock band from Oxford, England, consists of Yannis Philippakis (vocals, guitar), Jimmy Smith (guitar), Edwin Congreave (keyboards) and Jack Bevan (drums). The band was started in 2005 by Philippakis and Bevan who left math rock band The Edmund Fitzgerald to form Foals. In 2006, vocalist Andrew Mears left Foals for his other band Youthmovies leaving Philippakis to take the leading role of the group. Influenced by techno, Arthur Russel, The Redneck manifesto, and the Talking Heads, Foals released their first full-length album Antidotes in 2008 which peaked at No. 3 on the UK Albums Chart. The album was produced in New York, remixed by the band themselves and later became a commercial success in the UK. They toured Europe and the US in 2016 gaining popularity as some of their songs appeared on shows like Entourage and Misfits. They released a collection of remixes during the COVID-19 pandemic. Recently, they just released their seventh studio album Life is Yours.
