Born as Artist Dubose in the Bronx of New York, A Boogie grabbed inspiration from Kanye West and 50 Cent which led him to begin rapping as a teenager. After visiting Florida, he recorded some of his first songs. After spending some time in the south, he returned home to New York and started Highbridge the Label with a friend and rapper Quincy Acheampong, who also goes by QP, in 2015. By March, he released his debut mixtape, Artist, which accrued platinum singles “My S**t” and “Jungle.” Only one month after, he dropped yet another single “Bag on Me” featuring Don Q. Meek Mill and DJ Khaled co-signed soon after and Highbridge the Label got to sign a deal with mega-label Atlantic Records.
A Boogie Wit da Hoodie stepped into the scene in 2016, releasing his debut mixtape Artist on his label and later signing with Atlantic. He won it big with his triple-platinum single “Drowning” in 2017, which led to Top Ten hit The Bigger Artist, followed up by Hoodie SZN (2018). Continuing his hot streak he dropped 2020’s Artist 2.0 and 2021’s EP B4 AVA.
