New York City duo We Are Scientists have released a new song, “Lucky Just To Be Here.” The song is off of their upcoming album Lobes set to be released on Friday, January 20 via Masterswan Recordings. We Are Scientists will have an album release show at NYC’s Brooklyn Made on Janurary 20 as well.
The single was accompanied by a visualizer of a car driving through a city at night. Along with the album release show, We Are Scientists is anticipated to announce tour dates soon.
Lobes follows We Are Scientists acclaimed 2021 album Huffy. From what we have heard of Lobes so far suggests that the band as grown into an entirely different musical universe. “Our new album, Lobes, however, is our nighttime album. Overall, it’s more electronic, dancier, more ominous, and way sexier than Huffy,” says the band’s Keith Murray.
Lobes track list is as follows:
“Operator Error”
“Dispense With Sentiment”
“Human Resources”
“Lucky Just To Be Here”
“Turn It Up”
“Settled Accounts”
“Here Goes”
“Parachute”
“Less From You”
“Miracle of ’22”
