Martin Garrix at LIV on Dec. 3rd

Born Martijn Gerard Garritsen in the Netherlands, Martin Garrix started his career by landing on the dance charts with his 2012 remix of Christina Aguilera’s “Your Body.” At just 16 years old, he signed with Spinnin’ Records, and released “BFAM”, a single where he collabed with Julian Jordan. In 2013, he released one of his biggest singles, “Animals”. The track became certified platinum in the U.S., the U.K., and across Europe.

Martin Garrix spins progressive house, electro, and future bass. He came into the limelight in 2013 with his multi-platinum hit “Animals” from his debut album, Gold Skies. Joining top DJs rank lists in the late 2010s, Garrix has become a club favorite, collaborating with Bebe Rexha (“In the Name of Love”), Dua Lipa (“Scared to Be Lonely”), David Guetta (“So Far Away”), and Khalid (“Ocean”). He constantly is trying new sounds like with Clinton Kane on 2020’s emotive “Drown” and Bono and the Edge on the 2021’s “We Are the People.” In 2022, Garrix released his first full-length album, Sentio.

Melanie Stewart: Hi! My name is Melanie and I am a music business/management student at Berklee College of Music. As a young child, I began vocal training and continued up until my second year of college. My experience in music has lead me to many opportunities including performing at local clubs/cafes, joining a band, and writing my own music amongst other things. Outside of music, I have a passion for business and design. I have been able to create my own business as well as co-design a website for a peer project to be used for their company. I hope to perfect my skill and further my education.
