Two-time Grammy Award-winning artist and producer Shooter Jennings to pay homage to legendary singer-songwriter with a very special evening of wall-to-wall Warren Zevon songs. Shooter Jennings and the Werewolves of Los Angeles celebrate Zevon with a special performance on Friday, Feb. 3, 2023, at the world-famous Roxy Theatre in West Hollywood, California.
Critically acclaimed musician and producer Shooter Jennings will honor the life and legacy of the late Warren Zevon. Nearly two-decades after the passing of Zevon, Jennings celebrates the legendary artist with a full performance of his greatest hits and timeless anthems. Zevon is best known for his songs “Lawyers, Guns and Money,” Werewolves of London” and “Roland the Headless Thompson Gunner,” all featured on his third album Excitable Boy.
Shooter Jennings and the Werewolves of Los Angeles is composed by multi-instrumentalist Brian Whelan, bassist Ted Russel Kamp, guitarist John Schreffler, and drummer Jamie Douglass. The group made their memorable debut last month at Monterey, California’s Rebels and Renegades Music Festival with their rendition of Zevon’s timeless hit “Lawyers, Guns and Money.”
Jennings told Rolling Stone that he found himself relating to Zevon in many ways, from musical styles to songwriting and felt a deep admiration for the artist. Jennings is best known for expanding the parameters of country, rock ‘n’ roll and more. As the son of two American country singers, Jessi Colter and Waylon Jennings, Shooter Jennings has marked his own history experimenting through a range of genres and creative platforms. Jennings has released eight solo LPs, countless Eps, founded his own label and multimedia outlet, created acclaimed BBS Door games, and most recently was joined by Southern rap star Yelawolf to create music group Sometimes Y. Jennings recently made history at Redondo Beach by curating his first-ever all-star tribute to his father, Waylon Jennings.
