Blu DeTiger at Union Transfer on December 1st

Pop bass player Blu DeTiger will be playing at Union Transfer. Originally December 2nd, this performance was changed to Thursday, December 1st  (The second to last date in her North American headline tour before performing at her home town in New York City at Webster Hall). DeTiger will be performing with special guests, Tiffany Day and JCM Global.

The bass prodigy, started on the stage at age 7 and began her music career playing bass and DJing at clubs at age 17.  Her music can be described as arty funk and disco-influenced indie pop with inspiration from artists like Cameo, Prince, and Zapp.

In 2020, DeTiger scheduled touring with pop singer Fletcher until lockdown put a stop to her plans. DeTiger gained recognition on TikTok for her bass covers of artists like Doja Cat, Megan Thee Stallion and Cardi B. She released the single “Figure it out” on her debut EP How Did We Get Here?, which gained viral success on social media. In 2021, she signed with Capitol Records.

Earlier this year, DeTiger made her national debut on TV on SNL playing bass guitar for the Bleachers. She appeared in Olivia Rodrigo’s documentary, Driving Home 2 U (A Sour Film). DeTiger has sold out tours in the US and Europe and played sets at major festivals including Bonnaroo, Governors Ball, and Life is Beautiful while inspiring many young bassists.
