Dogs in a Pile at The Foundry on December 2nd

Rising psychedelic, rock & roll band, Dogs in a Pile are performing at The Foundry on December 2nd for their Fall 2022 Tour. The up-and-coming band plays improvisational music with a couple covers from Grateful Dead and Phish.

The young, four-piece group consists of Joe Babick (drums), Jeremy Kaplan (keyboards), Sam Lucid (bass guitar), Brian Murray (guitar) and Jimmy Law (lead guitarist). They started out in New Jersey’s Asbury Park music scene. Babick and Law met as kids and later met Kaplan, Lucid and Murray, forming the band in 2018. After sharing the same taste and passion for psychedelic rock, the band played gigs along The Jersey Shore.

With a growing tour schedule, their latest album, Not Your Average Beagle was released in 2021. Not Your Average Beagle is a fusion of shock rock, blue grass, EDM, funk and jazz containing only 9 songs. Taking their name from Grateful Dead’s song, “He’s Gone,” Dogs in a Pile is inspired by the members’ favorite bands and artists including Steely Dan, Frank Zappa, Flaming Lips, Phish, and of course Grateful Dead.
