Anthrax is celebrating their 40th anniversary with Black Label Society and special guest Exodus. The tour kicks off January 2023 and includes a stop in Riverside, California on Friday, Feb. 17, 2023.
Heavy Metal band Anthrax are returning with another major North American Tour at the beginning of 2023. The 24-date tour includes major cities such as Seattle, Vancouver, Chicago, Houston, and many more. The tour runs from January to mid-February ending with two shows in California. One stop includes Riverside, California before concluding on Feb. 18, 2023, at the Fox Theatre in Oakland, California.
This will be the second round of tour dates with joined headliners Anthrax and Black Label Society. The tour follows a series of celebrations in honor of Anthrax’s 40th anniversary. The band celebrated with special livestream events and a full summer tour with Black Label Society and Hatebreed. Anthrax recently released their 40th anniversary livestream concert on Blu-ray and digital which includes the entire performance, never before seen rehearsal footage, a look back at the major history of the band and its formation.
Anthrax is a thrash metal band formed in 1981 in New York City by Scott Ian and Dan Lilker. The band is composed of vocalist Joey Belladonna, lead guitarist Jonathan Donais, rhythm guitarist Scott Ian, bassist Frank Bello, and drummer Charlie Benante. Anthrax is credited as one of the pioneer bands of thrash and speed metal. They’re known for their aggressive power chords and fast and heavy sound.
The six-time Grammy nominated band is known world-wide for their musical influence in the hard rock genre. The band has a total of 11 studio album, the latest album released in 2016 titled For All Kings, debuted at No. 9 on the Billboard’s 200 chart marking the first time in over 20 years the band entered the charts.
