Chicago’s Riviera Theatre will host singer, songwriter and multi-instrumentalist Weyes Blood during her upcoming world tour. Visiting in spring, the soft rock artist is set to play on Mar. 11 for her Windy City show.
Weyes Blood’s world tour kicks off in December to support her latest album. With an official release date of Nov. 18, 2022, her LP And In The Darkness, Hearts Aglow includes three pre-released singles. Weyes Blood dropped “It’s Not Just Me, It’s Everybody” in September, “Grapevine” in October and “God Turn Me Into A Flower” as her most recent single on Nov. 16, 2022. Fans in Chicago have time to get acquainted with the album before catching her Mar. 11 show.
Professionally known as Weyes Blood, Natalie Laura Mering crafted her stage name as a nod to the 1952 novel Wise Blood by Flannery O’Connor. Weyes Blood started making music as a teen in the early 2000s and published her debut studio album The Outside Room in 2011. The California-born artist has composed five studio albums in total, with 2019 LP Titanic Rising as her most popular work. Titanic Rising did well on charts in both the U.S. and U.K., complete with hit singles “Andromeda,” “Everyday” and “Movies.”
Weyes Blood will grace the city’s Riviera Theatre with her presence on Mar. 11, 2023. For tickets to see her Chicago show, visit Ticketmaster.com.
