Hip-Hop/rap producer comes to San Francisco this holiday season!
So apparently this guy used to work as a biomedical engineer. That’s what his Spotify said (shrugs shoulders). I wonder what he was up to during that time and why he was doing it? You want to know why he was doing it while also making music likely as a hobby? Well this isn’t Wikipedia. So I’m not going to write a five thousand word essay on who this guy is. Rather a short, friendly letter as to (maybe) why you should go see him in four days from me writing this.
Girl Talk is his stage name and he has just under half a million monthly listeners on Spotify. Chicago, Illinois and Los Anglese, California are his biggest customers with a hovering 10.5 thousand listener base. Atlanta, Georgia and Dallas, Texas come in at around 8 thousand listeners a month. Denver at dead last with around 7 thousand monthly Spotify listeners a month.
If you still have not heard of this (much like myself) he has done numerous collaborations with the likes Wiz Khalifa, Erik The Architect, Smoke DZA, Don Q, the list goes on. But this was all well after his fame. And I still do not know most of these guys except for Wiz of course due to his late O’s Black and Yellow fame. Girl Talk gained notoriety during the 2000’s and then like I said earlier, he quit his main occupation as a biomedical engineer in 2006. That is a pretty fast pace to success if you ask me. I guess with such a lucrative and oh so tiring sounding job he still had a lot of time on his hands to make tasty jams.
So here is what you need to know if you care to go:
- 1805 Geary Blvd, San Francisco, California is the venue’s locale
- One hundred dollars is the price prior to tax you will pay for one ticket
- Here is the link you click on for said ticket: concerts.livenation.com
- DRINK. WATER.
Thank you
