Alesso at LIV on Nov. 30th

Catch Alesso at LIV on November 30th.

Alesso, a DJ and dance music producer from Stockholm, Sweden, has become a success by crossing genres, blending house with pop and collaborating with many popular artists. His career jumped in recognition for his remixes of Tiësto, Swedish House Mafia, and Avicii, as well as his own musical productions. Some of his earliest pop hits include 2012’s “Calling (Lose My Mind)” (with Sebastian Ingrosso and Ryan Tedder) and 2013’s “Under Control” (with Calvin Harris and Hurts). Under Control was able to reach number one in the U.K.

He was the opener for Madonna during many British and Russian dates for her 2012 MDNA Tour. Alesso also revved up the crowds with his performances at major festivals such as Coachella, Creamfields, and Electric Daisy Carnival. “Heroes (We Could Be),” dropped in 2014, his single featuring Tove Lo became his first U.S. Top 40 hit before his official debut album, Forever. The major worldwide hit, 2017’s “Let Me Go,” was a collab with pop singer Hailee Steinfeld and country duo Florida Georgia Line. He also released two mixtapes, Progresso, Vol. 1 and Vol. 2 in June 2021 and followed with more non-album tracks.

Melanie Stewart: Hi! My name is Melanie and I am a music business/management student at Berklee College of Music. As a young child, I began vocal training and continued up until my second year of college. My experience in music has lead me to many opportunities including performing at local clubs/cafes, joining a band, and writing my own music amongst other things. Outside of music, I have a passion for business and design. I have been able to create my own business as well as co-design a website for a peer project to be used for their company. I hope to perfect my skill and further my education.
