[Supersuckers] Bottom of The Hill 11/26

Redneck Punks about to tear up San Francisco!

Supersuckers have been around since 1988 but have been putting out music since 1992. Wow I’m surprised that metal-archives.com has absolutely nothing on these guys. Like they literally don’t come up. Weird. Anyway, they play a very clever mish-mash of 80’s punk-rock and rockabilly. So?… Punkabilly? Just imagine Ramones playing rockabilly. Ok sure, that works! Get this; they literally made a very successful cover of Hey Ya! by hip-hop duo Outkast. Dude, I kid you not it’s hilarious. I honestly like it better.

Very odd and funny; I see that on Spotify; Supersuckers have a very interesting fan base from all over the entire globe. That’s different! Take a look at the link I gave you in the opening sentence. As you can see they have a majority of their listeners from Sweden which makes sense from a metalhead perspective because Scandinavians love heavy dark music. Then coming in second place is Melbourne and Sydney, Australia. That also makes sense from a metalhead’s perspective. When I hear Australia I think of Parkway Drive. A very successful mainstream metal band. Los Angeles has its own huge metal following thus rendering Supersuckers effective in the community. And then last but not least we have Madrid, Spain.

Moving on to the venue, you can get tickets here at songkick or Bottom Of The Hill which is the venue direct. They have really dope and low key vintage looking website! Well they’ve been around since 1991 and it shows! Well from a digital perspective at least! Laugh out loud. Ok not really at least i’m not I don’t know. Anyway, they have opening acts of pretty much the same genre. On Bottom Of The Hill’s website they list two bands opening: Garras Sucias and Volk.
