Soar on over to Chicago’s Fourth Presbyterian Church for a chance to see Andrew Bird play in December. The artist is scheduled for seven nights, three of which are sold out, on dates spanning from Dec. 9 to 16. While tickets are no longer available for Dec. 8, 13 and 14, fans can attend on any of the following dates: Dec. 9, 12, 15 and 16, the final of which is his closing show for the city.
Inside Problems is a 2022 summer album and Bird’s latest record. The early June release consists of 11 bouncy and otherworldly songs, three of which are singles that Bird produced prior to the album. These singles include “Make a Picture,” “Underlands” and “Atomized.” Though this work marks the artist’s most recent album, he published two singles subsequent to Inside Problems.
Autumn of 2022 witnessed Andrew Bird’s two latest singles: a 7-minute song titled “Rare Birds” and a collaborative piece called “I felt a Funeral, in my Brain [feat. Phoebe Bridgers].” Bird released the former track in cooperation with The Birdsong Project, philanthropic campaign that compiles birdcall-inspired tunes from a variety of artists to both raise funds for the National Audubon Society as well as spread awareness about these endangered flying friends.
Andrew Bird is a Chicagoland native, hailing from the North suburb of Lake Forest. He began his music career by making Music of Hair in 1992, and from there created over a dozen studio albums. Bird has earned two Grammy nominations, one for the 2016 LP Are You Serious and another for his 2020 album titled My Finest Work Yet. He’s known not just for his crooning vocals, but also as an outstanding violinist.
