Esteemed country singer Nikki Lane comes to the Chicagoland area on Dec. 14. Her concert takes place just outside of the city in Evanston’s favorite live music venue, SPACE. Opening for Lane on her Denim & Diamonds Tour at this show is country artist Jaime Wyatt.
Nikki Lane’s recent activity most prominently includes her 2022 studio album, Denim & Diamonds. Lane’s autumn tour supports the 10-track LP, which she dropped on Sept. 23, about one month before hitting the road. The artist also released three singles: “Born Tough,” “Black Widow” and the album’s opening tune, “First High.” Along with Denim & Diamonds, Lane appeared on Dropkick Murphys’ latest album, titled This Machine Still Kills Fascists. For this 2022 record, she sang a duet with Ken Casey on a track called “Never Git Drunk No More.”
The Nashville singer debuted Walk Of Shame as her first album in 2011. During her career, Lane has come out with four studio albums. One of her most recognized works is LP Highway Queen, which Lane published as her third studio album in 2017. Two previously released singles accompanied Highway Queen; “Jackpot” dropped a month before the album’s release and “Highway Queen” came out in late 2016. The album did especially well on U.S. country and folk charts and serves as a large breakthrough in her music career.
