Photos: The Afghan Whigs Perform at the Belasco

The Afghan Whigs, who were active mainly from 1986-2001 and reformed in 2012, toured the Belasco in Los Angeles, CA on October 12.  With support from the Canadian rock band Pink Mountaintops, early-comers were able to peruse the general admission area with the opener’s unique alt-country and indie rock songs. Prior to the headliner’s set, fans were asked to refrain from using both their phones and flash to fully enjoy the performance. The Afghan Whigs, which is comprised of Greg Dulli on guitar/lead vocals, John Curley on bass, Rick Nelson on keys/guitar, Patrick Keeler on drums, and Christoper Thorn on guitar, wowed the crowd by playing both new and old hits such as “Algiers” and “I’ll Make You See God.”
