L.A. Witch at Gramps on Nov. 16th

L.A Witch is coming to Miami to perform at trendy hangout venue Gramps, on November 16th.

Los Angeles’ L.A. Witch is a goth rock threesome pushing singer/guitarist Sade Sanchez into the limelight. They began to get noticed with their 2017 debut, L.A. Witch, which showcased their hardened sound and similarities with bands like the Kills.

L.A. Witch comprises three talented members: lead singer/guitarist Sade Sanchez, bassist Irita Pai and drummer Ellie English. In 2013, Sanchez formed the band and she discovered punk rock as well as subgenre horror punk from bands like the Misfits and Dead Moon.

Sanchez met English and the two began playing together. Sanchez eventually reunited with English, and by 2015 the duo became the trio known as L.A. Witch. They hit the road that same year, touring almost nonstop for the next three years. In 2017, the band released their debut album, titled L.A. Witch, which further earned the trio some more buzz for their temperamental rock sound. Their EP, Octubre (fitting for the band name), followed in 2019. During the pandemic, L.A. Witch dropped their full-length sophomore album, Play with Fire.

Melanie Stewart: Hi! My name is Melanie and I am a music business/management student at Berklee College of Music. As a young child, I began vocal training and continued up until my second year of college. My experience in music has lead me to many opportunities including performing at local clubs/cafes, joining a band, and writing my own music amongst other things. Outside of music, I have a passion for business and design. I have been able to create my own business as well as co-design a website for a peer project to be used for their company. I hope to perfect my skill and further my education.
