Hatebreed, touring from October to November, will make a stop in the Windy City. The band plans to visit Chicago’s Bottom Lounge on Nov. 3. Their fall 2022 tour celebrates the 20th anniversary of Perseverance. Openers include metal bands GATECREEPER, Bodysnatcher and Dying Wish.
Hatebreed’s tour, titled 20 Years of Perseverance, is a tribute to their 2002 LP Perseverance. The sophomore studio album was commercially more successful than their 1997 debut, titled Satisfaction Is The Death Of Desire. Perseverance consisted of two singles: “I Will Be Heard” and “Perseverance.” Though Hatebreed’s fall 2022 tour is centered around Perseverance, their latest album came out in 2020. Weight of the False Self marks Hatebreed’s eighth studio album. The setlist may feature a mix of songs, both new and old.
Metal band Hatebreed includes the following members: Jamey Jasta as vocalist, Chris Beattie on bass, Matt Byrne on drums and both Wayne Lozinak and Frank Novinec on guitar. Former Hatebreed guitarist Sean Martin even plans to join them on the road. Hatebreed originally assembled in Connecticut, and started making music in 1994. Subsequent to Perseverance, Hatebreed released charted albums such as The Rise Of Brutality in 2003, Supremacy in 2006, self-titled Hatebreed in 2009, The Divinity Of Purpose in 2013 and The Concrete Confessional three years later.
Hatebreed shows some love to Perseverance with a fall tour, as the album turns 20. They perform on Nov. 3 at Chicago’s intimate venue Bottom Lounge with supporting acts GATECREEPER, Bodysnatcher and Dying Wish. For more information, visit Ticketweb.com.
