Electro dance group, RÜFÜS DU SOL, will be performing at Bayfront Park on October 23rd.
Rüfüs Du Sol is an Sydney-Australian group who make ambient indie electronic dance-pop in likeness to contemporaries like Pnau and Zhu. Created in 2010, when a trip to a small town off the coast of Australia transformed into discovering the hidden talents of the tio united. Members include James Hunt (drummer), Jon George (keyboardist) and Tyrone Lindqvist (guitarist).
In 2016, they released their second full-length album, Bloom, featuring singles “You Were Right,” “Like an Animal,” and “Innerbloom.” Successfully, Bloom topped the ARIA charts and was later certified gold. They released, yet again, another album in 2018 with a sequence of singles leading up to the release of the full-length Solace. RÜFÜS DU SOL explored new territory, delving deeper into subgenres and communicating through meaningful lyricism for a face the world has not seen of the group. “It’s about finding a sense of hope in a darker time,” RÜFÜS DU SOL said. The album was created during a time of adversity for the band so the tracks are really reminiscent of pain and remembering that pain, hence the significant name Solace.

Their fourth album, Surrender, emerged in October of last year. “Alive” received a Grammy nomination and the album included a guest feature from Curtis Harding on “Surrender”, the title track.
