Day after making waves at Riot Fest indie rock band Yeah Yeah Yeahs performed an intimate club show at Metro in Chicago last night as part of the venue’s 40th Anniversary celebration.  In light of the celebration the Yeah Yeah Yeah’s started the show with their first single “Spitting Off the Edge of the World” from their album Cool It Down which will be released on September 30. The most exciting part about the show is when the band did a debut performance of the song “Lovebomb.”

“Lovebomb” is a spectacular piece which consists of blusey guitar riffs and drum beats. The instrumentation brings the vibe of what falling in love feels like and the vocal performance by Karen Lee Orzolek shows how strong love can be while she speaks out the lyrics. The Yeah Yeah Yeahs did a fine job with performing “Lovebomb.”

The other tunes the band performed are “Maps”, “Date With the Night”, “Heads Will Roll” and “Gold Lion.”
