This September, rock band My Chemical Romance is coming to Newark for a concert on September 21st.
My Chemical Romance is a rock band from Newark, New Jersey that formed in 2001. The members are lead vocalist Gerard Way; guitarist Ray Toro; bassist Mikey Way; and rhythm guitarist Frank Iero. In 2002, the band released their debut album ‘I Brought You My Bullets, You Brought Me Your Love.’ The following year, they were signed to Reprise Records and released their second album ‘Three Cheers for Sweet Revenge’ in 2004. This album went on to be a huge success. With iconic songs such as “I’m Not Okay (I Promise)” and “Thank You for the Venom,” the album went platinum a little over a year after its initial release. The band released two more albums, ‘The Black Parade’ in 2006, and ‘Danger Days: The True Lives of the Fabulous Killjoys’ in 2010. In 2013, the band broke up, but then got back together In 2019, the band reunited, and sold out their first show in years in a record 4 minutes. Now, they are going back on tour and will be playing in New York City next month.
