Collective Soul comes to Austin, Texas and they will be joined by Switchfoot.
Collective Soul is an American rock band originally from Stockbridge, Georgia back in 1992. The members of the group are the lead vocalist Ed Roland, rhythm guitarist Dean Roland, bassist Will Turpin, drummer Johnny Rabb, and lead guitarist Jesse Triplett. Collective Soul released their Hints, Allegations, and Things Left Unsaid albumin 1993. The band became popular after the release of their song “Shine,” since this song became a radio hit.
Before Collective Soul came to life singer Ed Roland was a music student at the Berklee College of Music in Boston, Massachusetts. Before 1990 Roland was involved and attracted to Atlanta’s underground music scene, he would record demos and perform there at the beginning of his career as a musician. At the same time, he was working at a music studio called Real 2 Real Studios where he got to produce music, mix it, and help local artists with their music. As time passed Roland took music seriously and started recruiting other musicians to create music with him.
Switchfoot is an alternative rock band from San Diego, California. The began its journey back in 1996 when two brothers, Jon and Tim Foreman, started a band with Chad Butler, who was their high school friend. They were all attending to the University of California when the three guys started playing music together. Ever since they started the band has orchestrated their music into eight albums and has sold 5.5 million copies all over the world.
