The Lodge Room and Freakout Records will be hosting The Halloween Freakout, a two-night spectacular with live performances by the Melvins, Acid Tongue, The Pistols and more. The two-night shows will take place on Oct. 28 and Oct. 29 and is open to all ages.
The Halloween Freakout Night 1 will be held on Friday, Oct. 28 at the Lodge Room featuring acts such as No Age, Acid Tongue, The Pistols, and Pearl and the Oysters. The Los Angeles-based indie band Pearl and the Oysters is set to go on tour this fall, joining the Halloween Freakout lineup mid-tour. The pop-punk band The Pistols have been gaining recognition not only for their music but also their energetic and wild on-stage personas. Acid Tongue is a psychedelic rock band whose music is often referred to as “timeless rock and roll.” The LA-based noise rock duo No Age is set to release a new album this September titled People Helping People, this will be the first album the band produced and recorded entirely by themselves.
The Melvins, Mala Suerte and El Shirota make up the lineup for the Halloween Freakout Night 2. The Melvins are often recognized as the pioneers of grunge and sludge rock, they’re even accredited for the creation of Nirvana. The Melvins continue to shred stages and carry an intense and untouchable energy during their live performances. Mala Suerte was formed by Acid Tongue’s frontman Guy Keltner alongside Ryan Granger and their friends from Mexico City Jasmina Hirscl and Miguel Servin. El Shirota is another group that originates from Mexico who blew up for their eccentric noise rock sound and are often compared to Sonic Youth and The Stooges.
Mala Suerte, Acid Tongue and Pearl and the Oysters are also featured in Freakout Records’ 10th Annual Freakout Festival in Seattle, Washington on Nov. 10 through Nov. 13. Join the fun at the Halloween Freakout at the Lodge Room on Friday, Oct. 28 and Saturday, Oct. 29. This event is open to all ages, tickets are available on lodgeroomhlp.com, two-day passes are limited.
