LANY is coming to Austin, TX next August 31st

LANY is an indie pop band from Los Angeles, California formed in Nashville, Tennessee back in 2014. The members of the band are  Paul Jason Klein, Charles Leslie Priest, and Jake Clifford Goss.

This band’s beginning was in a bedroom making music on a computer just for fun while hanging out in Nashville. The trio knew each other before starting LANY.

Klein was living in Los Angeles to work on music independently and Goss and Priest were working together in Nashville. It wasn’t until Klein went to visit Goss and Priest in Nashville that they started writing songs together. From these reunions, the two first songs that came out were “Hot lights” and “Walk Away.”

The band’s beginning was humble and this is what makes them special, at first when the trio decided to officially start making music together and LANY became a thing the trio was living in one bedroom apartment and they were making music there.

“We’re really good with working with what we have and what we’ve got, and we kind of let our limitations define our art. Since signing to major record label, we’ve kind of been able to maybe move out of the one-bedroom apartment that we’ve been living in together and now we have some space to put in a real drum kit,” said Klein.  

A fun fact about this band is that their name is an acronym for Los Angeles and New York, the major two big cities in America were the inspiration for this band’s name.
