The band Ghost was formed in Linköping, Sweden by Tobias Forge in the year 2006.
We all might think Ghost is a band with multiple members but it isn’t. Ghost is a solo project mastered by Forge. Forge writes and records all of the music by himself and hires people to play in the live band when Ghost is on tour. Forge is the only official member of Ghost, the rest of the individuals in the band are hired.
An interesting fact about this band is that it was meant to be anonymous and it was until 2017. In order to hide his identity Forge would wear heavy makeup and on occasion a mask. Forge created the Papa Emeritus character, as well as Cardinal Copia to remain anonymous.
Ghost has had trouble playing in America before because of its satanic imagery, and the fact that America can be very religious in some states. Despite the controversial image Ghost is coming back to America, and they are coming to Austin, Texas soon.
Ghost has encountered some trouble with different media channels due to how controversial their lyrics are. But in 2015 this started to change for them and they were able to have more guest appearances on TV shows and radio stations.
