The three-track prologue soundtrack for Marvel’s upcoming sequel, Black Panther: Wakanda Forever, has been released, featuring Nigerian artist Tems singing cover of Bob Marley’s “No Woman, No Cry,” Amaarae’s “A Body, A Coffin” and Santa Fe Klan’s “Soy”, according to CNN.
Marvel released the album in anticipation of the film’s nationwide release on Nov. 11. Black Panther: Wakanda Forever stars Lupita Nyong’o, Michaela Coel, Martin Freeman, Letitia Wright, Angela Bassett, Danai Gurira, Florence Kasumba, Tenoch Huerta and Dominique Thorne. Wakanda Forever is the sequel to Marvel’s first Black Panther film, which was released in 2018.
The film was originally set to star Chadwick Boseman, who died in August 2020 after a battle with colon cancer that he kept private. Boseman’s death sent shockwaves through the entertainment industry, and fans have been eagerly awaiting the release of Black Panther: Wakanda Forever to see how the film will pay tribute to the late actor.
