The American singer-songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, professional surfer and filmmaker Jack Johnson is coming to Austin, Texas.

Music became part of Johnson’s life at an early stage of his life but it didn’t become his passion until he was in college. Johnson started playing the guitar when he was eight years old and started writing songs at the age of 12. During his college years, he started playing rhythm guitar and his passion for music grew.
Before college, Johnson was devoted to surfing, and at the age of 17, he was receiving a lot of attention for it. Johnson’s journey changed when he suffered a severe injury that required him to take two months of recuperation. During his recuperation time, Johnson decided to start playing the guitar more often. After constantly practicing, music just became a big part of his life.
Johnson is not just a talented human being, but he cares about the environment and does a lot to help the environment. Jack Johnson’s tour production team is at the forefront of the green touring movement, effecting change at many levels in the music industry. In 2005, Jack Johnson, along with his crew, Effect Partners, and leading environmental scientists developed the EnviroRider, an environmental handbook presenting eco-friendly options and actions for tour production.
