California’s hip-hop legends, Cypress Hill, is bringing back their annual Haunted Hill shows this October for the first time since 2019. The group’s s tradition Halloween season shows include three shows this year, the first being on Oct. 23 in New York, the second on Oct. 24 in Boston and the third on Oct. 29 in Los Angeles at the Hollywood Palladium.
For the first time in three years, Cypress Hill will perform their annual Haunted Hill shows. As tradition has it, the shows are set during the month of October. Cypress Hill begun their Haunted Hill shows in New York, before the band became huge superstars. Though the shows are during the Halloween season, the shows are not a spooky experience but rather a small music fest for fans to enjoy.
This year, Haunted Hill includes special guests Sick of it All and Ill Bill at NYC and Boston, and Everlast, Fishbone and N8NOFACE in LA at the Hollywood Palladium. The group is currently on tour and making special guest appearances at Pukkelpop Festival 2022 in Belgium, Ruido Fest 2022 in Chicago, Cook’s Garage in Texas alongside Ice Cube and more events this year.
In 2019, the multi-platinum group became the first hip-hop group to have a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. The group is subject to the new documentary, Insane in the Brain, part of Showtime’s Hip Hop 50 series. The documentary is tied to Cypress Hill’s tenth studio album, Back in Black, released in March 18, 2022. The group is most recognized for their smash hits “Insane in the Membrane,” “Dr. Greenthumb,” “How I Could Just Kill a Man” and many more. Their live performances often include great energy and clouds of marijuana smoke.
