Health is a music band from Los Angeles, California founded in 2005. The members of this band are Jake Duzsik and John Famiglietti. Health was created after the members of the band agreed the name should be an everyday word. The band gained reputation at first through one of their songs “crimewave,” in 2007.
The band worked with Andrew Dawson at first, a longtime engineer and producer for Kanye West.
This band has a deep perspective of life and what it means to be alive. Duzsik said, “I find it bewildering that we’re all alive, but existence is kind of magical,” “You can minutely change your brain’s chemistry and have whole new perspective. That’s why we’re not cynical about music at all.”
Through music this band expresses their views and perspective about life. The band has taken long breaks betwwen the release of different albums. Duzsik said “It feels serendipitious that it took this long,” and he also mentioned during the release of their second album “I don’t this sounds like band’s first album.”
