American progressive rock band The Mars Volta has returned with the announcement of their first live shows in a decade. The group will tour extensively throughout North America with Teri Gender Bender. They have also teased a new single and accompanying music video titled “Graveyard Love” for release tomorrow, July 8.
The band previously released their song and music video “Blacklight Shine” in late June. The track was originally debuted at an audio-visual art immersive installation in Grand Park in Los Angeles dubbed ‘L’YTOME HODORXÍ TELESTERION’. If fans did not get a chance to visit the physical space, it is now fully available online.
The Mars Volta will be kicking off their nearly sold-out North American tour dates in Dallas, Texas at the Factory in Deep Ellum on September 22. The band will then be visiting Georgia, Pennsylvania, New York, Massachusetts, Washington, D.C., Ontario, Michigan, Illinois, Colorado and Washington before ending the tour with five shows in California at San Francisco’s The Warfield and Los Angeles’ Hollywood Palladium.
